Africa Mission Hub
Missionaries James Yang and Jung-mi Lee from South Africa extend their greetings and introduce the 'Africa Mission Hub,' a dream conceived during 23 years of African mission work.
Reflecting on the Israelites returning from Babylonian captivity, there is something we realize. The Israelites returned with the mission of rebuilding the fallen temple, which was foretold and desired by God. However, the reconstruction of the temple was delayed and halted, even though it was the temple construction God wanted... Likewise, I am convinced that the Africa Mission Hub (AmiHub) is a mission foothold desired by God. Still, I am reminded that it could also be delayed or halted. Therefore, I will carefully examine, reflect, and pray so that it does not delay or stop. I humbly ask for your prayers and partnership.
What is the Africa Mission Hub?
It will serve as a ministry hub for Korean churches and Korean missionaries for African missions, providing pastoral continuing education and seminars for pastors who graduated from Abba Theological Seminary and local South African pastors.
-
It will support local churches through ministries such as pastoral continuing education, church leadership training, worship team training, youth camps, and children’s camps. These efforts will help prepare the next generation and establish healthy churches.
-
It will be used as a venue for diploma courses, quarterly seminars, Bible reading seminars, and graduation ceremonies of Abba Theological Seminary. It will also serve as a hub for missions across the African continent by discovering, training, and commissioning local missionaries through Abba Mission (South African NPO).
-
It will be a place for the unity and rejuvenation of Korean missionaries, as well as a ministry to support the work of Korean missionaries.
The 'Africa Mission Hub,' born from God's heart to 'make Africa dance,' has been established through the support of churches and individual donors over four years of prayer and dreaming.
We testify, 'God has done it.' This miracle was made possible by the dedication of partnering families and the love of many supporters. Thank you sincerely for your love for Africa and missions.

With gratitude and glory to God, the purchase of 8.86 hectares of farmland was completed on April 12, 2024, despite initial shortages, through funds raised and prayers since July 2020 during the height of COVID-19. A miracle occurred as the remaining funds were provided during the property transfer process.
The property transfer for the two plots was finalized on June 4. During this time, missionaries James Yang family moved in mid-May and began remodeling, followed by missionaries Kim David Kim family moving in August.

On July 2, we held a thanksgiving worship service with around 60 local missionaries. A consul from the embassy attended and delivered a congratulatory speech, and several missionaries from distant areas participated, took part in the program, and offered their congratulations and encouragement.
The year 2024 has started and is ending with miracles. The 'Africa Mission Hub,' which began in prayer four years ago, has become a reality and is now established in South Africa. The 9 rooms equipped at the hub are being used for small meetings and camps, with children’s songs of praise and prayers filling the space, and joyful laughter echoing even from the swimming pool. The Africa Mission Hub is also being used as accommodation for missionaries passing through Pretoria and as a base for short-term mission teams. We cannot help but praise God for this."

The construction of the Rodem Chapel, which began in October, is expected to be completed around March 2025, and we look forward to it being fully used for worship, education, and more. The Rodem Chapel, a collaborative project between Food for the Hungry, Rodem Church, and Shin Hye First Church, is expected to serve as a great example for the further development of the Africa Mission Hub in the future. Please pray that the Africa Mission Hub will take another step forward next year
